BlackBerryOS.com is reporting that the RIM BlackBerry Storm 2, outed by a number of leaks, could be out as early as the end of June care of Verizon. The site quotes a senior level ‘insider’ who works for Verizon.
Apparently, Verizon has begun to train its support staff on the Storm 2 to allow them to be ready for the end of the month, suggesting a June release.
The source confirms that the Storm 2 will come with Wi-Fi and BlackBerry OS 5.0 (rather than OS 4.7) but did not shed any light on whether it would come with much improved screen and typing technologies (to be called TruePress?).
Verizon is also rumoured to be launching the BlackBerry Tour on July 13th. Could this latest Storm 2 rumour have confused the two devices? We will know soon enough.
