Last week, Bell announced that it would launch the Palm Pre in Canada in the second half of the year. That’s quite a wide window but a Boy Genius Report source may have come to our rescue.
Bell is apparently trying to arrange to launch the Palm Pre in August. The launch appears to be completely dependent on the Pre supply. Should Bell secure sufficient stock, it could launch even earlier. Or it could be forced to launch later if Palm runs into trouble meeting the demand in the United States with the Verizon launch (expected on June 7th).
While Bell wants to capitalize on the interest for the Pre, it also wants to avoid a repeat of its BlackBerry Storm launch when it sold out of its inventory only hours after the launch.
