As rumoured earlier this month, Bell Mobility has quietly dropped its System Activation Fee (SAF) and 911 fee and introduced new plans. Its new plans are slightly more expensive. Bell also added call forwarding to its Consumer and Small Business plans to ensure that its plan remain competitive.
Bell was the last of the national carriers to drop these fees in favour of simplified monthly charges. Both Rogers and TELUS had both dropped these fees earlier.
Existing Bell customers will have the choice of keeping their existing plans with service fees or moving over to one of the new Bell plans.
