As reported last week, Bell launched its first Google Android-powered smartphone today.
The Samsung Galaxy features the innovative Android platform, providing seamless connection with Google applications like Gmail, Google Maps and YouTube, as well as access to 12,000 more in the Android Market.
The Bell version of the Samsung Galaxy is powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7200A processor and Google Android 1.5. It comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual-band (850/1900MHz) HSPA/UMTS connectivity, a 3.2-inch AMOLED HVGA touchscreen display, 8GB of internal memory, Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, built-in GPS, a 5MP camera with auto-focus and LED flash, a microSD card slot (supporting cards up to 32GB), and a 1500mAh battery.
Bell is offering the Samsung Galaxy for CA$99.95 with a three-year contract, CA$299.95 with a two-year contract, CA$399.95 with a one-year contract, and CA$449.95 without any contract. You’ll get a free Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics decal as well.
