Apple has confirmed that it will hold a media event on September 9th as had been rumoured.
The event appears to be focused on the iPod family. We could the see the addition of a camera and GPS to some iPod models as well as capacity upgrades (perhaps up to 64GB on the iPod touch). On the music side, a new version of iTunes could be unveiled with new features like Blu-ray support and social capabilities (integration to Facebook perhaps?). A new album format has also been suggested. And that rumour about Beatles music coming to iTunes still refuses to die…
