Acer may have announced that it plans to release a Google Android-powered netbook in Q3 but it appears that it is playing safe as well. Acer chairman JT Wang revealed that the netbook will come with dual-boot capabilities, supporting both Android and Windows. Acer opted for this option as it is unsure whether consumers will take to Google Android.
Acer also plans to cooperate with wireless carriers to offer subsidized netbooks. These could come solely with Android if there is sufficient demand.
