If The Boy Genius Report sources are right, AT&T could be getting ready to release an 8GB version of the Apple iPhone 3GS. It would sell for US$99 and would presumably replace the current 8GB iPhone 3G. The rumour is “definitely not confirmed” so take it with a grain of salt.
One source indicated that the move would help AT&T counter the release of the Verizon DROID ERIS also priced at US$99.
It’s not the first time that a rumour of an 8GB iPhone 3GS has surfaced. Back in August, it looked for a while that Rogers Wireless was getting ready to launch such a model.
