Velocity Mobile may not have announced the Velocity 83 just yet but the FCC has given its blessing nonetheless. It is intended as a low- to mid-range device below the already announced 103 and 111.
According to what we know so far, the Velocity 83 will be powered by a 400MHz processor and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional with the Odyssey user interface. It will come with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, an accelerometer, 64MB ROM and 128MB ROM, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and a 2MP camera. I found no reference in the User Guide and photos to the rumoured dual microSD card slots. It looks like it will only come with the one.
There are no details at this point about availability and pricing.
