Google has announced that an updated version of the Android mobile OS SDK is coming in several weeks. It promises significant updates to the user interface annd APIs.
There have been reports that developers who have tried Android have found that some functionality does not work, is difficult to implement and that the documentation is minimal. It will be interesting to see just how far the SDK has come since its first release.
Meanwhile, Google has decided to extend the Android Developer Challenge timelines. Developers now have until April 14 to submit their applications for judging and first round winners will be announced on May 5th. The grand prize will be announced on July 21st.
