MWG (Mobile & Wireless Group), a new company formed after the sale of the O2 Asia division of Telefonica O2, is set to announce its first two new 3G devices. While there is no formal announcement yet from MWG, the two new devices are showing up for pre-order on the Expansys online store.
First up is the MWg Zinc II. As the name implies, it succeeds the O2 Xda Zinc. The MWg Zinc II is a sleek slider device with a full QWERTY keypad – featuring a slimmer profile than the original O2 Xda Zinc, more exciting features and an exclusive new design. It is powered by a 500MHz Samsung processor and Windows Mobile 6 Professional. It comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, 64MB RAM and 256MB ROM, a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0.
The MWg Atom V features a new design in deep blue and is a guaranteed head-turner. Powered by a 520MHz Intel processor and Windows Mobile 6 Professional, it comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, 64MB RAM and 256MB ROM, a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, integrated GPS, an FM radio with RDS, a 3MP camera, and a microSD expansion slot.
Pricing for both the MWg Zinc II and Atom V has not been revealed yet.
