Not only were the new G710 and G910 (announced last month) on display at the Toshiba booth during the Mobile World Congress but Toshiba also unveiled a third new device. The Portégé G810 vaguely looks like the HTC Touch and unlike the G710 and G910 does not include a hardware QWERTY keyboard.
The Portégé G810 will be powered by a 400MHz Qualcomm MSM7200 processor and Windows Mobile 6 Professional (likely to be version 6.1 when Microsoft decides to announce it). It will feature quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA, 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM, a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS or A-GPS (dependent on carrier), an FM tuner with RDS, a 3MP camera, and a microSD (4GB maximum) expansion slot. Toshiba also mentions that it will come with a customized user interface.
The Portégé G810 is expected to be released in Europe in the second quarter. Pricing information has not been disclosed yet.
