Rumours of the iPhone-like Samsung SGH-i900 have been floating around for a short while now. A heavily watermarked image surfaced last week along with some details about some of the specifications. It is widely expected that the SGH-i900 and its gesture-based interface will be unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress next month.
It promises to be powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 and should feature a large 3.5-inch touchscreen display running at a resolution of 240 by 400. It would also have an optical joystick (similar to what is on the SGH-i780), GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 5MP autofocus camera (a first for a Windows Mobile device), integrated GPS, an FM radio, 8GB of memory and a microSD expansion slot.
MobiFrance contacted Samsung who apparently confirmed that the SGH-i900 will be available in September 2008. MobiFrance also came up with a mock-up of what the SGH-i900 could look like.
