While T-Mobile USA may have quietly turned on its 3G network this week, the official launch will not happen until next week. There is even better news though. Contrary to earlier rumours reported here, the company has indicated that its 3G network will go live with both voice and data services. T-Mobile customers will need devices that can support the 1,700MHz UMTS Internet service to take advantage of the faster speeds though.
Some customers in the New York area have already reported that the service is already up and running.
