A bit later today, T-Mobile will unveil its new G1 mobile phone. In preparation, T-Mobile has launched a new site to support the G1. While the site is live, there is little content there now but it should all appear as soon as the T-Mobile press conference completes later today.
The T-Mobile G1 (manufactured by HTC) will be the first phone to be released with the Google Android mobile operating system. It will come 3G connectivity, a 5- by 3-inch touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard (similar to the Sidekick form factor), a 3.1MP camera, and built-in GPS. A Gmail account will be required.
Stay tuned as I’ll post additional information after the T-Mobile announcement.
