We first found out about HP’s first foray into the world of ASUS Eee-competitors at the beginning of the year and details have been gradually emerging ever since. Now, Engadget sources have apparently revealed not only additional specs but also the street date.
It looks like there will be four models. All will be powered by VIA C7-M processors and VIA Chrome 9 UMA graphics chipset with an 8.9-inch display (1280×768) and 802.11 a/b/g Wi-Fi. Here is a closer look at each:
- USD$549: 1.2GHz processor, 120GB hard drive, 1GB RAM, SuSE Linux Enterprise, and 3 cell Li-Ion battery
- USD$599: 1.2GHz processor, 120GB hard drive, 1GB RAM, Vista Home Basic, and 3 cell Li-Ion battery
- USD$749: 1.6Ghz processor, 120GB hard drive, 2GB RAM, Bluetooth, Vista Business, and 6 cell Li-Ion battery
- USD$849: 1.2GHz processor, 160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM, Bluetooth, Vista Home Basic, and 6 cell Li-Ion battery
The HP UMPC 2133 is expected to hit the street on April 7th.
