Sprint has confirmed that the HTC Touch Diamond is headed its way. The confirmation follows a leak by The Wall Street Journal earlier in the day. It will not go under the name of HTC Victor as rumoured earlier.
As reported earlier, the Sprint version will be powered by a 528MHz processor with a Qualcomm 7501A chipset and will come with 256MB RAM, 256MB ROM and 4GB of internal memory. It will also come with a larger capacity 1,350mAh battery (rather than the 900mAh battery seen to date) and a red backing. The larger battery will make it slightly thicker than its GSM brother.
Sprint will make the HTC Touch Diamond available as of September 14th. It will cost USD$249.99 with a two-year service contract (and USD$100 mail-in rebate) or USD$549.99 without a service contract.
