There is good news and bad news. The good news is that Sony Ericsson has announced release dates for the XPERIA X1. The bad news is that the release will be staggered across additional countries countries and some may be waiting for quite a while.
The XPERIA X1 will first be released in the UK, Germany and Sweden on September 30, 2008. More than 30 other countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America will then see the XPERIA X1 sometime in the fourth quarter. These include France, Spain, Italy, Poland, India, Taiwan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Argentina, Chile and others.
Unfortunately, there are no release dates for the XPERIA X1 in North America (the XPERIA X1a variant?), China, Australia and Russia (and other countries) beyond a vague in the coming months. Could a 2009 release date be in the cards for some?
