Softbank is the latest carrier to announce that it will offer the Apple 3G iPhone:
SOFTBANK MOBILE Corp. today announced it has signed an agreement with Applee® to bring the iPhone™ to Japan later this year.
Softbank is the first Japanese carrier to announce that it will offer the Apple iPhone but the press release does not indicate if Softbank has landed an exclusive deal. If not, we could see other Japanese carriers make similar announcements in the near future.
