Only a few days ago, we were told that an alpha version of Firefox Mobile was just around the corner but only for the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet. Now, screenshots of Fennec have appeared and surprisingly, it is running on a Windows Mobile device. This is a good sign given that last we had heard, a Windows Mobile alpha was still months away.
The screenshots will give you a good idea of where Mozilla is headed with Fennec but also show that there is a lot of work to be done (like resolving some font issues). On the positive side, Fennec manages to score an 88 on the Acid3 test (particularly impressive when considering that Firefox 3.0.3 scores only 71).
The screenshots were posted by Brad Lassey, one of the developers working on Fennec.
Note: I don’t know if the pictured logo is the final version but I quite like it.
