A Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade is now available for the Samsung BlackJack II (SGH-i617). There are two installer versions: One for computers running Windows XP and one for those running Vista.
The upgrade also includes a number of enhancements, including a slightly updated user interface, Qualcomm patches to improve call quality, a number of enhancements to Bluetooth, a fix for video calling problems, a new Sliding Media Pane, and more. The Good Messaging Application has been removed.
The update will replace the current ROM image and will erase partnership and all user data and programs on your device. Be sure to back everything up before you start.
