As CES wrapped up, Samsung announced its SGH-F490 touchscreen mobile phone. Touted as an iPhone competitor, it features a touchscreen that features haptic feedback (vibration feedback).
The Samsung SGH-F490 will come with tri-band GSM/EDGE and single-band UMTS/HSDPA, a 3.2-inch 16:9 widescreen full touch display with the aforementioned haptics feedback, a 5MP camera as well as a front camera for video calls, 130MB of internal memory, Bluetooth 2.0, the Samsung Croix user interface, and a microSD expansion slot. It also comes with built-in mobile Google applications.
The SGH-F490 is expected to be released in Europe in February for about €500 (about USD$735) without contract.
