Samsung introduced the Instinct SPH-M800 today at CTIA. Headed to Sprint in June, the Instinct is another device inspired by the Apple iPhone.
The front is dominated by a 3.1-inch touchscreen and Samsung developed its own user interface for the new device (with a configurable home screen). Beneath the screen are three buttons: Back, Home and Call to access the calling menu.
The Instinct is the first Samsung phone to feature EV-DO Rev.A connectivity. It also comes with stereo Bluetooth, integrated GPS, a 2MP camera, and a microSD slot (with 2GB card included). On the software side, it will come with support for Sprint TV and Sprint Music as well as a touchscreen QWERTY keyboard.
Sprint will spend up to USD$100 million to promote the Samsung Insight which will only be available with one of its “Simply Everything” service plans. Pricing is expected closer to the launch in June.
