Rogers Wireless has announced that it has become the first North American carrier to offer the candybar Sony-Ericsson K850 Cyber-shot. Tell the story as it happens with pictures or face-to-face. The new, exclusive-to-Rogers, is a 5 megapixel camera phone device that has access to Rogers’ high-speed wireless network, allowing for video calling, music downloads, picture and video blogging at broadband-like speeds.
The K850 also comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, 40MB of internal memory, a xenon flash, and a Memory Stick Micro (M2) expansion slot.
The K850 will sell for CAD$199.99 with a three-year service plan or CAD$449.99 without one. Rogers is also offering customers a free 8GB storage card (it must be redeemed online). When I looked earlier though, it was not listed on the Rogers site yet. It should be up later today.
