On November 3rd, Sony Ericsson US will announce exactly when the XPERIA X1 will hit North American shores.
Sony Ericsson also confirmed a few details about differences between the X1a and X1i. The X1a, destined for North and Latin America and Australia, comes with a different network configuration and 24fps video support (rather than 30fps in the X1i). A white paper on the XPERIA X1 suggests that the X1a will come with quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and tri-band (850/1900/2100MHz) UMTS/HSPA connectivity. This would leave T-Mobile’s 1700MHz band out in the cold.
Sony Ericsson also confirmed that both models will have a front-facing camera.
