Nokia has released an operating system update for its N800 and N810 Internet Tablets. Based on Maemo 4.1 (codename Diablo), one of the features that users will most likely appreciate is the new Seamless Software Update that will install future updates without the need to reflash the N800 or N810. Unfortunately, this update will still require that the system be reflashed.
Other features of the update include a new email application based on Modest and the tinymail framework, the introduction to Chinese character rendering support, improved browser panning performance, a number of bug fixes including updates to OpenSSL and more.
The latest OS2008 Feature update is only available for the Nokia N800 (download here) and Nokia N810 (download here).
