It appears that Nokia Germany slipped up today and published specifications for the upcoming N96 earlier today. The page has now been removed but not before the details were captured.
The N96 is expected to be a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual-band HSDPA (850 and 210MHz). Like the N95, it will come with AGPS, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, and a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens. To that it will add a DVB-H tuner, 16GB of internal memory as well as a microSD expansion slot. It will run the Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 operating system and a Flash Lite 3 enabled web browser will be included.
The lack of 1900Mhz HSDPA suggests that once again Nokia is releasing the phone in markets outside of North America first. Then, a few months later, we will probably see a North American version.
Hopefully the Nokia N96 will be announced at the Mobile World Congress so that we can confirm these specs.
