A North American carrier has finally stepped up to offer the Nokia E71. Rogers Wireless can now claim bragging rights and the E71 is now available (albeit already listed as out-of-stock) on its web site.
The Nokia E71 features quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and dual-band (850/1900MHz) connectivity, a 2.36-inch QVGA display up to 110MB free memory, a QWERTY thumb keyboard, integrated A-GPS (with Telenav support), 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, an FM radio with RDS support, a 3.2MP camera, and a microSD memory card slot. It is powered by S60 3.1 Edition, Eseries operating system. It comes with support for two home screens (eg, one for work and one for home).
Rogers is offering the Nokia E71 for CAD$99.99 with a three-year service plan of a minimum CAD$45 per month. A 2GB microSD card is also included.
