After posting some initial details about its forthcoming Firefox Mobile browser, Mozilla got plenty of user feedback. Two new mockups were posted today by Firefox Mobile product manager Doug Turner in response to all that feedback.
The idea behind the new design is to free up as much screen real estate as possible to view web sites rather than the browser’s interface. So, basically, we do not show any UI but a translucent (not so much indicated here in this mock up, but pretend it is translucent) icon over the content. Click on the icon and it brings up a raised dock that features the buttons you expect to see on a normal browser. When no longer needed, the dock would dissolve away, returning precious screen space to your web viewing.
