It was only yesterday that Steve Jobs indicated that Apple is watching the nascent netbook market and that the company has no plans to enter that space yet. He did hint that Apple already had some pretty interesting ideas should it decide to step into the netbook market later. Those ideas may be further along than Jobs let on though.
According to John Markoff, a New York Times technology writer, revealed today that a search engine company contacted him to reveal that its logs showed visits from an unannounced Apple product with a display that fell between that of an iPhone and a MacBook. It’s not much information to go on but two popular display resolutions that would fit the bill are the 800 by 600 and 1024 by 600 resolutions used by many netbooks already in use today.
Is this new evidence of an upcoming Apple tablet PC?
