After The Boy Genius landing Windows Mobile 6.1 screenshots and video comes more eye candy this time from Portuguese site Pocketpt.net. They also provide a few details (confirming much of what The Boy Genius already reported) as to what we can expect:
- Windows Mobile 6.1 has been optimized and menu loading is faster than in Windows Mobile 6
- Pocket Internet Explorer has picked up a new zoom feature that works much like Safari on the iPhone by letting users zooming in on an area of a web page
- Threaded SMS messages that align like MSN conversations making it easier to follow the conversation
- A new “Getting Started” Today plug-in to help users set up settings such as date and time, email, ring tones and more
- Revamped program management including CPU and memory utilization
- Mobile Office 6.1 with support for Office 2007 document types and the addition of OneNote Mobile
Windows Mobile 6.1 could be announced as early as mid February at the Mobile World Congress taking place in Barcelona.
