Hungarian site Terminal.hu has posted an extensive picture gallery of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1. And the pictures confirm what had been expected: The X1 is running on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, the still unannounced-by-Microsoft-but-expected-by-everyone update to Windows Mobile 6.
The pictures also give us some additional information on the specs of the X1. It will be powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm 7200A processor and will have 128MB RAM.
From previously released specs, we also know that it features quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and quad-band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (either 900/1700/1900/2100MHz or 850/1700/1900/2100MHz depending on configuration) connectivity, a 3-inch WVGA (800×480) touchscreen display, a QWERTY keyboard, up to 400MB of internal memory, aGPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an FM radio, a 3.2MP camera, and both a Memory Stick Micro and a microSD expansion slots. It also features a patented panel interface with the X1. Each panel represents a different function (for example web or multimedia) that can be activated with a simple tap. The panel layout is fully configurable.
The second half of 2008 cannot get here fast enough although I suspect that it will cost a pretty penny.
