AT&T has not finished its certification of the BlackBerry Bold, according to RIM co-CEO Mike Lazaridis. The company apparently wants to ensure that it does not face the same issues as it did earlier this year with the iPhone 3G. Soon after the debut of the new iPhone, customers started to complain about dropped calls and 3G connectivity issues. AT&T never confirmed such reports though.
At one point, AT&T was expected to launch the BlackBerry Bold in late summer.
AT&T did not confirm Lazaridis’ comments and will not commit to any date beyond the generic later this year.
