A number of countries are set to see the Apple iPhone on August 22nd. In a recent earnings conference call with analysts, Apple indicated that some 20 additional countries will offer the iPhone 3G on that date. In the last few days, the countries that will take part in this second rollout were revealed.
In Latin America, America Movil, which already offers the iPhone 3G in Mexico, will release it in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
On August 22nd, it will also go on sale in India, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and the Philippines.
This will bring the total number of iPhone markets to 40. Another 30 countries should follow by the end of the year.
