LG Electronics announced yesterday that they had sold one million Prada Phones since it was unveiled.
Since its March 2007 debut the Prada Phone by LG has been recognized as one of the world’s most sophisticated handset combining innovative design with technological breakthroughs including the first complete touch screen. This visionary approach by intimate and productive partnership from two vastly different industries became a platform for new design opportunities and opened doors to diverse multimedia experiences.
Based on this success, LG and Prada are partnering up again to launch a new handset. It is expected sometime in Q4 2008.
Specifications for the Prada II (name to be confirmed) have already been leaked. Featuring a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, it will come with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual-band (850/2100MHz) HSDPA connectivity, a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, an FM radio, a motion sensor and a 5MP camera with flash. It will have a 950mAh battery.
