The leaked Vodafone UK 2008 roadmap features an upcoming Palm device codenamed Drucker. Unlike many other slides that had device pictures, this one featured only a placeholder. During the Bill Gates CES keynote, a Palm Treo Windows Mobile smartphone was briefly displayed and the::unwired conjectures that this could be the long-rumoured Treo 800 (or possibly 850). Not only is the picture not one of Palm’s existing devices but the image also showed it to be a Windows Mobile 6 Professional device. It also looks like leaked pictures of the rumoured Treo 800 (although there have been quite a few different versions).
Touted as the Treo 750v replacement, the Palm Drucker will be powered by the upcoming Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and come with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, a 320×320 touchscreen, display, QWERTY keyboard, 2MP camera, integrated GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 1500mAh battery.
Is the quest to find the elusive Treo 800 at an end? What do you think?
