The HTC Dream has cleared one more hurdle. Expected to be the first mobile phone to run Google’s Android mobile operating system to hit the U.S. market, it has now received FCC approval.
The FCC documentation also confirms that the HTC Dream (model number DREA100 in the documentation) will come with 3G connectivity. Test results for the WCDMA 1700MHz band (as well as GSM/GPRS/EDGE tests on the 850 and 1900MHz bands) confirm that it it is headed to T-Mobile.
The HTC Dream also received certification for its 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. A closer look at the documentation also confirms that it will come with a “jogball” for navigation.
A September or October release date is looking increasingly plausible.
