It looks like official pictures and specifications of the HTC Diamond have been leaked by Italian site NewsMobile.it just days before the formal HTC announcement. The pictures confirm at least a couple of rumoured details. Specifically, the HTC Diamond, successor to the HTC Touch, will come with 4GB of internal storage and a 3.2MP auto-focus camera. The pictures also show a front-facing camera and a back that shows a triangular pattern that may explain the device name.
Specifications reported also match what we expected. According to NewsMobile, the HTC Diamond will be powered by a 528MHz processor and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. It will come with a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen display, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and quad-band UMTS/HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, eGPS, an FM tuner and a microSD expansion slot. It will come with a 900mAh battery. It will measure 99x51x10.7mm (3.90×2.01×0.47-inches).
The HTC Diamond is expected to be announced during an HTC event on May 6th along with the HTC Raphael (with QWERTY keyboard) and possibly the mysterious HTC Titanium.
