Another company has caught the bug of opening its own stores. In partnership with Digital Planet, HP opened its first HP Experience store in Sandton City, South Africa back in April (I’m a bit late on this one). To be completely accurate, Digital Planet owns and operates the store that offers HP’s complete line of consumer computing, imaging and printing products.
The HP Experience store is organized around digital lifestyle zones that highlight how products are used in different situations. There is also a Guru Bar (I wonder where they got that idea) where customers can get information and assistance.
It’s not clear if HP has plans to open other HP Experience stores in other countries.
