HP has added a number of new configurations to its stable of HP 2133 Mini-Note models. Four new models now come with Genuine Windows Vista Business downgrade to Genuine Windows XP Professional.
But expect to pay for the privilege of running Windows XP. Take a look at XP-based model KR939UT and compare to Vista-based KX868AT. Both use the 1.2GHz VIA C7-M ULV processor and come with 1GB of RAM, 120GB 5400RPM SATA hard drive and other identical specs. So why is the XP-based version selling for USD$729 while the Vista-based one costs USD$599? This is not cool!
The most expensive configuration now tops USD$800. For USD$819, you can get yourself an HP 2133 Mini-Note with a 1.6GHz VIA C7-M ULV processor, 2GB RAM, 160GB 5400RPM hard drive and Windows XP.
