In an interview with Linux Insider, Mozilla Foundation CEO John Lilly indicated that the first alpha versions of Firefox Mobile will be available in a few weeks. There are no other details at this point though. If nothing else, things appear to be moving forward.
Back in September, Mitchell Baker, chairperson of the Mozilla Foundation, confirmed that a mobile browser was now a key focus at the non-profit organization. Work started as far back as May 2007 but there have only been sporadic updates on progress so far.
