A few days ago, we found out about the 10.2-inch Lenovo IdeaPad S10 netbook. Lenovo has now revealed more details about its smaller sibling, the IdeaPad S9, which will not be released in North America.
Like its bigger brother, the IdeaPad S9 will be powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor and will come with 1GB RAM, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, an ExpressCard slot, two USB ports, a 4-in-1 card reader, and a 1.3MP webcam. But unlike its sibling, it will be powered by Linux and will come with an 8.9-inch LED backlit display and an 8GB SSD rather than a hard drive.
The Lenovo IdeaPad S9 will be available in various Asian markets starting in September. It will sell for about USD$420.
