CDMA version of HTC Shift about to hit U.S. shores

HTC Shift

We’ve known about the GSM version of the HTC Shift for some time now. Now, a CDMA version has appeared on Amazon.com. Currently available for pre-order, there is no word on when it is expected to ship.

In terms of specs, it is identical to the GSM version except that it supports CDMA and EV-DO connectivity. Powered by a 800MHz Intel processor and a 400MHz Qualcomm processor, it comes with 1GB RAM for Vista and 64MB and 128MB ROM for SnapVUE, a 7-inch WVGA touchscreen display that slides and tilts out to sit above the QWERTY keyboard, option of 40 or 60GB hard drive, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, integrated GPS, a fingerprint sensor, a VGA camera for video conferencing, and an SD card slot.

The CDMA version of the HTC Shift can be pre-ordered from Amazon.com for USD$1,499.00.

Sites that have review units report that they use the Sprint network. Maybe Bell and/or Telus will pick it up in Canada as well.
