According to BlackBerryCool.com, Rogers Wireless will launch the BlackBerry Storm in time for Christmas. The revelation came during a call with a Rogers Customer Service Representative. Details are few but, if indeed true, Rogers could launch the Storm as early as next month.
There are a couple of facts that work against this rumour. First, would front-line CSRs really confirm a new product before a formal announcement? But more significantly, would Rogers really release a device that does not support both HSDPA and Wi-Fi. The 9530 does not support HSDPA at all and the 9500 only comes the 2100MHz UMTS/HSPA band which is not offered in North America. If the rumour is true, could a third model be lurking somewhere in the shadows?
Both Bell Mobility and Telus Mobility have already announced that they will offer the BlackBerry Storm.
Update: The Boy Genius Report has received confirmation from Rogers Wireless that the BlackBerry Storm is not headed to Rogers.
