The just announced RIM BlackBerry Storm is not only headed to Verizon in the U.S. and Vodafone in Europe, India, Australia and New Zealand but also to Canada courtesy of Telus Mobility. The Boy Genius got their hands on the press release that announces that Telus will be the first Canadian carrier to announce the BlackBerry Storm (suggesting that other carriers will announce it as well).
Telus will carry the BlackBerry Storm 9530 with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, single-band (2100MHz) UMTS/HSPA and EV-DO Rev. A connectivity.
The press release is light on details such as pricing or availability, promising only that the BlackBerry Storm will be available just in time for the holiday shopping season.
Update: Telus has launched a promotional page for the BlackBerry Storm, promising to take Canada by storm with the launch of a groundbreaking smartphone.
