It’s time to put the rumours behind us: AT&T has announced that it will begin to offer the BlackBerry Bold on November 4th.
AT&T customers will be entering a bold new wireless world with the launch of the BlackBerry Bold, a breakthrough 3G BlackBerry smartphone that operates on the nation’s fastest 3G network and is the first to support HSDPA networks around the world, including in Japan and Korea.
The BlackBerry Bold is powered by a 624MHz Intel processor and comes with a half-VGA (480×320) display, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900)and tri-band HSDPA/UMTS (850/1900/2100) connectivity, 128MB Flash memory and an additional 1GB on-board memory, integrated GPS, 802.11 a/b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with full A2DP support, a 2MP camera, dual speakers, and a microSDHC (Up to 16GB) expansion slot.
On the software side, the BlackBerry Bold features an improved Web browser, the BlackBerry Desktop Manager with Roxio PhotoSuite 9 LE and the new BlackBerry Media Sync application which lets users sync their BlackBerry with their iTunes music collection.
The BlackBerry Bold will be available from AT&T for USD$299 with a two-year service contract.
