According to Chinese-language Commercial Times, Asus hit a new monthly shipment record when it shipped about 700,000 Eee PCs this past September. That brings its third quarter shipment total to about 1.7 million units. With the holiday shopping season about to start, Asus expects that fourth quarter shipments will match those numbers.
The report also suggests that Asus is looking to drop pricing on its Eee PCs in response to increased competition.
It would appear that the confusing number of Asus Eee PC models has not driven customers away!
