ASUS is the latest company to unveil its own user interface for Windows Mobile. Called Glide, it will be offered on the ASUS P552w PDA phone. Glide promises an innovative touch-responsive user interface that makes navigating and performing tasks on a mobile phone more intuitive and interactive than ever before.
The ASUS P552w is powered by a 624MHz processor and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional with the Glide user interface. It comes with tri-band (900/1800/1900MHz) GSM/GPRS/EDGE and single-band (2100MHz) HSDPA/UMTS, a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM, GPS (SiRFStar III chipset), 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, a 2MP camera, a microSDHC card slot, and a 1100mAh battery. It measures 102 by 60.5 by 14.5 millimeters and weighs 105 grams. It will be offered in either black or white.
There is no word yet on availability (don’t bank on seeing it in North America though) and pricing.
