That did not take long. Only a day after I posted about the rumour that ASUS was once again looking at adding touchscreen capabilities to its Eee PC lineup, Kevin Lin, vice president of Asustek’s sales department, has confirmed it as fact. At least some future models of the ASUS Eee PC 900 series will feature the new touchscreen displays. Lin goes on to say that GPS could be built into some models as well.
ASUS expects to offer these new Eee models in May or June. Prices are expected to be in the USD$500 range.
Lin also revealed that ASUS is planning to release the E-DT (a desktop version of the Eee) at about the same time. Prices are expected to start at USD$199.
