Heads up to all running the new iPhone 3G or first-generation iPhones running the iPhone 2.0 software: Apple has released a firmware update. Version 2.0.1 is described only as a bug fix release and does not contain any new functionality. Specifically which bugs are addressed with the update is not described though.
To download the update, you will need to connect your iPhone to your computer and click on the “Check for Update” button in iTunes. The update is just under 250MB.
The firmware upgrade is also available for the iPod touch.
