Just a friendly reminder that the Apple iPhone 3G goes on sale today in 21 countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and the U.S.
In Canada, it is now being offered by both Rogers Wireless and Fido (a Rogers subsidiary). Until August 31st, you can get a promotional 6GB data plan for CAD$30/month or one of the other plans offered by the two companies. All plans require a three-year service commitment though. The 8GB model sells for CAD$199 and the 16GB model for CAD$299.
You will not find me in any Rogers store today though. Instead, I will be packing for our Cleveland family road trip. We are off to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
